Where Are They Now? Graeme Stevenson chats with Colour In Your Life Artist Christine Read.

Christine was filmed for Colour In Your Life in December 2019. Find out what has happened for her since in her chat with Graeme!
Now retired, she creates full time, painting in acrylics, oils and gouache. She takes delight in presenting the world in unusual ways; she is known for creating ‘fantasy’ still life paintings in a landscape. This will often include beautiful objets d’art, native and exotic flowers and birds in vibrant colours. Christine likes to create a ‘narrative’ for the viewer to discover.
As a member of an arts collective in a rural community, her passion is also to help others to discover their creativity and so she runs classes, workshops and art retreats. Her desire is to experience the beauty of human creativity and to share it with others.
Christine has a studio set in a picturesque rural area close to the village of Lennox Head and in easy reach of Byron Bay, Mullumbimby, Ballina and the Tweed Valley.
Christine works in acrylics, oils, pencil & also enjoys the old craft of hand silk screen printing and sells tea towels printed with Australiana designs.
