Madeleine Ekeblad lives on Macleay Island in Moreton Bay, QLD. Madeleine’s work reflects the nature of the artist herself, who lives the dynamic & exuberant philosophy she has for her own art and the role that art plays in today’s society. She was originally involved in the commercial art world before taking up painting full-time in 1996.

One of the highlights of her artistic career was in 2001 when she was chosen by the late Pro Hart to be listed with his World Heritage Art organization. After studying fine arts, including metal sculpture, she has also received her diploma in the History of Art with the London Art College distance education.

Madeleine has her own working studio and gallery on Macleay Island, Queensland. She opened OMSA, the Onward Motivational School for Artists, in October 2004 currently motivating 25 artists at a time and conducts Motivational Art Workshops traveling all over Australia tutoring Corporate, Regional & private groups.

She is a self-published author of 4 motivational books for artists:

‘The Reluctant Artist’, ‘Art in a Very Ordinary World’, ‘I Started Painting a Tree’, ‘Controlling Elephants with Sabre-Toothed Tigers’, and is currently working on her 5th book “Art Has No Boundaries as Genius begins where Rules End”.

Private collectors throughout Australia, France, India, Vienna, China & Hong Kong. She is featured in ‘International Contemporary Artists’ book Volume I, II on the back cover & III. She is the featured International artist published in Greece and the US.
