The Corsage

This is a pastel study of my still beautiful wife (but much younger then) for a future painting. The study has under gone some changes over time. She is looking at the corsage which she wore the night before to a Supper dance a few years after we were married. The corsage is as yet unfinished in the study as I cannot remember what the orchid looked like and I cannot find a suitable image thus far. The painting is still in the pipe line all these years later.
