The figure and the water surface workshop

This workshop is suitable for the beginner to the advanced.
This workshop will be completed in Acrylic

Over 2 days Rhonda will guide you through the process of painting the figure underwater step-by-step. Each day in the workshop you will learn new practices, improve your painting application and how to avoid common mistakes.

Along the way you will learn about colour theory, brush handling techniques and application . Rhonda will supply a reference of a figure underwater from her photographs for you to work from. (Unfortunately we cant hold our breath long enough to paint from life underwater)

Rhonda will teach you how she overcomes the unique challenges and complex difficulties water studies can present that will help you make your water painting come to life in a truly interesting way.

Rhonda will discuss her process as well as the concepts of composition, value, colour, application, complementaries and space.
Together we will work to help you develop your own expression and style.
By merging realism and abstraction together, you will produce a painting that is both powerful and beautiful.

Graeme Stevenson and other members of the Colour In your Life team will be in attendance at this workshop and available for assistance also.
