Misty Pond

Sometimes, if I move very slowly and quietly, I can creep to within a 100 yards of a Great Blue Heron at sunrise. Then, if I paint quietly, I can capture this magnificent, elegant bird fishing for breakfast. More often, though, she takes off like this before I can quite finish up. I immediately wiped out what I had done and in a few strokes repainted her in flight from memory - a much better picture than I had originally begun. This special moment is available at a special price in our Annual Holiday Sale. But don’t wait too long - these paintings usually don’t sit around and the sale ends for good on December 31st., 2021.
