This oil painting is just off the easel and still wet. Solid birch cradleboard with 1.5 deep sides. "Home Before Sunset" was inspired by my trip to Bosque Del Apache in New Mexico, USA. I was able to photograph these majestic cranes in flight and now have some wonderful reference material. We travel from Tucson to this magical place every few years and the experience is always pure joy.
