'Grazioso'

'Grazioso' means graceful in Italian which perfectly sums up this beautiful grey horse. I have chosen a cool palette and colour has a special meaning - almost a second language to me as each colour communicates to me. The colours are serene which I hope invokes a calming effect when looking at this painting. Despite the fact that the horse is moving, it's posture is considered and controlled. It's not easy to accurately draw the likeness of creatures. And to be able to capture the beauty of the movement of a wild beast is really quite amazing. I really am enjoying your series of works based on horses and hope you're able to come up with more!
