Graeme Stevenson has been a practicing professional artist from over 40 years and have received the OAM for his services to Australian and international arts education. He is a the founder and CEO of a global TV series that has been seen in over 50 countries.
ART ON THE ROCKS
Australian Art & Design (AAD) Gallery is an artist collective, well known for promoting original and unique works by local Sydney artists. AAD Gallery is situated in the same building as Harbour Rocks Hotel. This building is significant for The Rocks and Sydney’s CBD. The building dates back to 1887, it serves as a monument and a witness of the rise and growth of an urban and beautiful city. The hotel has preserved its original structure and glory whilst providing five-star modern accommodation.
AAD Gallery is organising a suite of interactive art programs in the space situated at iconic and historical precinct of The Rocks as part of the ‘ART ON THE ROCKS’ project. The main objective of the program is to educate, promote and assist visual and performing artists.
The purpose of these events is to revive and restore the collaborative network of Sydney’s artist community and access to promotional platforms and income-generating opportunities. All these events will aim at transferring knowledge of skills and techniques as well as practical business sessions to assist with pricing, promotion and intellectual property.
