Gentle Caress
Acrylic on Box Framed Canvas. This painting was an experiment in color and detail plus using a medium of gel to add depth and texture. I am a self taught artist. I am learning constantly. I love the motion of the ocean and I have been working on a series of wave paintings for the last two nearly three years. It was recently that I decided that because everyone seems to want to paint waves I had to either up the game or stop. I am a detail person and the more detail the happier I am. Gentle caress is the softness that I see in the smaller waves as they reach the shore

I personally think that elements are some of the most difficult subjects to capture in art. There's just something about them all that you can't quite capture in a picture or even a photograph. You only really appreciate the majesty and power in all these things when you see them in real life. How they can build and how they can destroy. Powerful subjects like these need a really skilled eye to capture them well!
