Hi everyone, my name is Jo and I am new to the site and look forward to meeting some of you. I am new to art – I started to teach myself to draw after a work trauma in a past life. I was a forensic psychiatric nurse. Drawing has been such a life saver and I find it so relaxing and absorbing. It has been nice to see how I have improved over the last 4 months. There was a natural progression to painting. I started with watercolour and found it so hard but am getting better thanks to you tube and some of the fab tutorials there – this is also the place that i taught myself to draw. I paint in acrylics and watercolour and I also sketch in charcoal. Actually I love learning about mediums and am finding my niche I guess. I stumbled across this group purely by chance while on you tube and wow what a show and what a great forum and business you have!! Loving your pieces on our amazing Aussie artists plus the other artists as well. Only thing is that it makes me realise how inept I am (oh dear LOL) – So thanks for accepting me into the group – regards, Jo
