Ever wanting to know

You, child, grown yet just partially Beginning, knowing, testing what will be With gentleness, trusting as a dove Life’s incongruities How is it you still love Your heart rises above You baffle me
Child, you know, life can be unfeeling Tornado on a wedding night, violent and unyielding None could be prepared All senses reeling Reach forth to touch Him Your words are no whim He ever cared
Child you are a light amidst trials looming Some would have relented, the pain consuming You stretch beyond it all Your rose endlessly blooming You grasp toward friends Your love does not end God’s light on earth Ever assuming……………………His grace abounds...my confidence cowering.
